MLM Training- Staying on Track

As you are reading this piece of writing it's reasonable to believe you are either in or considering joining the MLM business.

Congratulations,it is an incredible opportunity and will pay back many-fold,the effort, focus and emotional dedication you invest into your business.

So you are off and running, enthusiastic, entirely convinced you are merely a tiny step away from the life of your dreams - yes you may run into a small amount of negative but your conviction will carry the day.

Nevertheless MLM, like any other business is a marathon not a sprint, and one of the challenges is remaining focused, motivated and commited after the initial adrenalin charge of enthusiasm has departed.

Furthermore, as the bulk of distributors are part-time, there are a multitude of additional actions demanding time and consideration; work, family, social engagements etc. Continuing to focus becomes central to long term achievement.

So How Can This Be Achieved?

Normally, there is no famous formula or one-stop shop to success. In spite of this there are methods and systems which, if employed long enough, become habits, and if these habits are constructive and inspiring, will relay you to your preferred destination.

Goal Setting

Maybe one of the most awkward challenges people new to the business need concentrate on is the skill of goal setting.

It is unusual to find an individual who knows, in unambiguous detail and timescale, specifically what they are seeking to achieve. Most new entrants have some indefinable notion of success and are later on disappointed when this anticipated success eludes them.

Undoubtedly there are shakers and movers, the achievers in life... they know unerringly what they want, at what time they want it, are dedicated to their dreams, cultivate a plan and stick with it until they succeed.

Goals need to be certain, on paper and have dates attached.

An uncommon and appealing goal setting approach that works particularly well, whilst engaging both the right (creative) and left (logical) sides of the brain is:

Goal Mapping - by Brian Mayne.

Yet as the activities of life incessantly fight for consideration, maintaining focus becomes much more difficult, which is why many "New Years Resolutions "are forgotten by February.

One of the ways to maintain focus is due to affirmations.

Affirmations.

Write down your goals on paper, carry them with you at all times, and read them out loud at least 3 times a day with "emotional intensity." Imagine yourself already in possession of your objective, truly living the lifestyle you desire.

Two books worth reading are:

What to Say When You Talk to Yourself - Shad Helmstetter.

Psycho-Cybernetics - Maxwell Maltz

Reading

Unquestionably, daily reading of appropriate books is the preeminent way to transform your thinking.

Every day read at least 15 minutes per day, and build this into your schedule.

A few books worth mentioning:

Think and Grow Rich- Napoleon Hill

The 4 Hour Work Week- Tim Ferris

You Can if You Think You Can- Norman Vincent Peale

To build a big MLM business requires leadership and development of a wide assortment of skill-sets.

Audios

It desn't matter how tiring your schedule there is constantly time to programme your mind through audios; there are continually situations in which activities can be combined.

Helpful CD's, MP3's etc listened to when driving or undertaking some of life's more mundane tasks, achieves 2 things:

1. Keep your mind focused on the positive.

2. Just as important- keep your mind off the negative (displacement theory).

Association.

Few indeed are those who have succeeded in isolation.

Become aware of and partner with mentors; people who have previously accomplished what you are looking to achieve- listen, study and learn from these people -why re-invent the wheel?

One last thing... stay away from negative people!!!
