There are many different grades of raw aluminum available on the market which can be used to manufacture Pet ID Tags. Our quality supplier uses a process which involves stamping out the tags first and then color anodizing them. This method is more time consuming but ensures that the edges on the tags keep their color and it gives tags a superior overall finish. It is a given that the edges will wear over time, but the way we see it is, should car manufacturers not paint the bumpers because it is a given that they will eventually be exposed to scratches? Our marking process:
