The debate continues. New versus used cars. Used versus new. So many people will say that they will never buy a used car. They say you never know who owned it or what it has been through. However, there are numerous reasons to buy a used car than a new one. Many people who have bought used cars in the past remember that used cars were just cars that could get you where you needed to go and without any frills. They were just your basic cars. You want to know why it is better to buy a used car vs a new car.
This is not true anymore. Many people in America prefer to buy a used car if they can find the right one. Well, you and anyone else can find a true quality used car for whatever you want to use it for. You can get sedans, pickup trucks, small cars and large ones. And buying a used car will be a great experience if you have never done it before. Mostly, people who buy used cars get them because they know they can get a great deal on them.
There a many factors why people buy used cars. Their features are great, they run well, but the main reason that people buy used cars is the price. This is huge. Compared to new cars, used cars will be able to fit well into your budget. New cars, even though they are priced reasonably at times, are still very expensive.
Dealers know how to take care of these cars when they come in. These used cars go through rigorous testing and inspection before they can be sold to the public. The dealer know that to do this will create much more money in the long haul for them, so, it is in their best interest to do this.
The cars that dealers are mostly interested in are later model cars. Later model cars have fewer miles on them than older cars, and they show less wear and tear. They go through inspections that will see if there is anything mechanical or electrical that needs to be worked on. They do get worked over pretty hard.
When you drive a new car off the car lot as soon as it has been purchased, the value will drop immediately, and hard. Depreciation for a new car driven off the lot is like a rock trying to float in the water. It won't float, but it sure will sink. Used cars hold their value better because they have been used and they are older.
A used car performs much like a new one. If it has been taken care of over the years from the previous owner, then it will give you years and years of reliable service. The quality of the used cars that show up on car lots is greatly improved. They are comfortable, and they run very well.
New cars and used cars are different, but mainly in their price. If you have never driven a later model used car, go out and do it. You will be surprised by their quality and price. This is why it is better to buy a used car vs a new car.
