The world isn't as small as we used to think so. Even though new modes of communication have existed to bridge the gap, it is still inevitable that we lose touch of a few important people in our lives.
There is probably nothing more taxing than having to look for lost family and friends which is why a convenient way of finding them is always appreciated.
I have had a share of that. I have been looking for this friend of mine for a few years now and although I have her number, it seems to be no longer functioning for a long time now.
Every time I call her, no one ever seems to pick up. For the longest time, I have tried looking for her but I could never bear the thought of calling up twenty people with the same name.
Trying to search for traces of her in the internet, I bumped into a website talking about reverse phone look ups. I tried searching for websites offering such service and I got directed to Reverse Phone Detective.
It looks like she was still living in the same area but had changed her phone number.
I decided then to subscribe to Reverse Phone Detective's service. I not only got to find my friend again but I was able to utilize the service for other things as well.
For one, I was finally able to find the identities of those pranksters who kept calling me at ungodly hours of the night to just hang up or those who kept harassing me through the phone.
I learned though that pranksters do not find it that funny if you know who they are and where they live.
I realized in the course of my look ups that other people can be asking for information about me at that very moment as well. I only use information I find for right reasons but I can't be sure about other people so I decided to remove myself from Reverse Phone Detective's directory to protect my privacy.
