You are maybe reading this article because you are experiencing the problems that redundancy has created in your life, or you have just survived the most recent corporate downsizing and want to get some fresh ideas and a new direction before your job is the next to go. It is also possible that you have perhaps reached all your career targets and want to move to the next level but at the moment you don't know what that level is. Or simply you have reached the point where you are bored with your job and wonder why you took it in the first place.

You will be a force to be reckoned with once you have finally gained the desire and motivation to achieve your true goals and desires. Planning, structure and focus are the key words to keep in mind during this time.

Think realistically about the job you are currently doing. Think about what you both like and dislike as this will make you think about what your options are before you start planning how to achieve your new career.
